GH2 Solar has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 50 MW solar PV project integrated with a 25 MW/100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The project was secured at a tariff of ₹2.87 per unit (kWh) in SECI’s auction for 2,000 MW of solar capacity paired with energy storage, providing a contracted framework for power sales.
Integrating battery storage can help shift solar-generated electricity to periods of higher demand, improving supply flexibility compared with standalone solar generation. GH2 Solar will need to develop the required transmission infrastructure, secure connectivity and approvals, and comply with applicable domestic solar module requirements.
